We announce the death of Elaine Rossow of Marion, Iowa, who passed away on September 10, 2026, at the age of 92. Elaine will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dick Mill and Froney Van Mill (DeBuhr); her husband Donald; her son Douglas; and her siblings, Helene Harmon and Richard Van Mill.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Injeti (Moses) and Linda Schon (Dale); her daughter-in-law Chris Rossow; and her grandchildren, Chad Rossow (Cassie), Supriya (Seth), Isaac Injeti (Hannah), Sara Schon, Michael Schon (Katherine), Daniel Schon (Lilia) and Hannah Crawford-Schon (Tyler). She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services (1844 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Marion Gospel Hall (755 Grand Ave, Marion, IA 52302). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Oak Shade Cemetery (789 2nd Ave, Marion, IA 52302).
