She was predeceased by: her parents, George Steinmetz O'Brian and Ruth Esther O'Brian (Blad); her husband Carl; her children, Vinton VanTasell and Verna Pierce; her son-in-law Michael Pierce; her siblings, Glen O'Brian (Vera), Richard O'Brian (Gertie), June Holstein (Dan), Helen Bass (Duane) and Eunice Hamilton (Gilbert); her nephews, Gary Lybarger and Russel O'Brian; Carol Ann Bass and Donna Braatz.
She is survived by: her grandson Allen Pierce (Tonya) of Marion, IA; and her great grandchildren, Roman Pierce (Sam Loving), Ayla Pierce and Hunter Hoffman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Rowley United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials will be directed to the Rowley United Methodist Church.
