He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Goehring and Hazel Goehring; his siblings, Keith Goehring (Evelyn), Carrol Goehring (Helen), Karl Goehring (Ruth), Fern Mineart (Sylvester), Darlene Reynolds (Richard) and Mable Berg; his nieces, Diane Berg and Carol Kenny (Mineart); his great-niece Darby Gilbert; and his daughter-in-law Alicia Goehring.

He is survived by: his wife Virgina; his sons, Duane (Libby) of Niceville, FL and Jerry (Catherine Elder) of Ketchikan, AK; his grandson Andy Goehring (Abby); his great grandchildren, Lena, Aveline and Mason of Bristow, VA.; his brother Raymond Goehring (Letha) of Fairfield, IA; and his nephews, Larry and Gary Goehring. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and their children and grandchildren.
