He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Whitman and Mabel Whitman Sueppel; his son David Whitman; his brother Clair Whitman; his sister-in-law Janette Whitman; and his brothers, Arlo Whitman and Kenneth Whitman.
He is survived by: his daughter Diana Whitman; his grandchildren, Morgan Way (Aaron) and Taylor Jeffrey; his great grandchild Brooke Way; his sister Dorothy Stork (William); and his sisters-in-law, Jean Anne Whitman and Janice Majors. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
