He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Runyan and Myrtle Runyan (Loveless); his children, Pamela and Lindsay; and his sister Shirley Runyan.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy of Marion; his children, Philip Runyan (Carolyn) of Round Rock, Timothy Runyan (Sheila) of Marion, Theresa Hobbs (Martin McKusick) of Iowa City and Nicole Harrell (Scott) of Hemet; his grandchildren, Lindsey, Madison, Brandon, Jordan, Sadie, Mathew, Brody and Colton; and his siblings, John Runyan (Kathy), Roy Runyan (Jodi), Louise Saltzman of Council Bluffs and Margaret Williams (Lionel) of Maricopa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
