He is survived by: his son Chris Simonsen (Jayne Adams-Griffin) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Elizabeth "Liz" Simonsen (Abe Parker) of Bloomfield and Jonathon "Jon" Simonsen of Bloomfield; his siblings, Weaver Simonsen of Valley Center, California and Narda Murphy of Williamston, Michigan; Shannon Simonsen (Nolan Eakins) of Bloomfield. He is also survived by extended family members including many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
