In the sacred silence of farewell, James is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that James' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Johnston and Gertrude Johnston (Pritchard); his daughter Jeanne; and his sister Maryanna Davis. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Siders of Marion, Iowa; his children, Laura Hoffman (Mark) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and J. Daniel Johnston of Lenexa, Kansas; and his brother Robert Johnston (Maryann) of Richardson, TX. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Marion Methodist Church.
