He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Frank and Anna Mae Malake; his wife Sylvia R. Seeks; his sister Sheryl; and his sons, William and Craig.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Gelski (Kevin) of Cedar Rapids and Wayne Malake (Bridget) of Estes Park, CO; his grandchildren, Travis Malake of Cedar Rapids and Elizabeth Johns (Ben) of Arvada, CO; his great grandchildren, Artemis "Arty" and Anastasia "Annie" Johns; his brother Robert "Bob" Malake; and his sister-in-law Donna Malake of Davenport, IA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Oldorf Hospice House, Hiawatha.
