John Edward Tietz Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Edward Tietz of Marion, Iowa, born in Mason City, Iowa, who passed away on December 22, 2021 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tietz and Ruth Tietz (Bethke); and his daughter Tammy Carolan. He is survived by: his wife Judith "Judy" Rose Ann Willert of Marion; his son Tim Tietz (Carol) of Hiawatha, Iowa; and his son-in-law Joe Carolan of Center Point, Iowa. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

All guests are respectfully requested to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in John's memory may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Marion.
