She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Phelps and Frances Phelps (Fry); her husband Ray; and her siblings, Ronald, Clair, Clark Phelps and Virginia Miller.
She is survived by: her sons, Steve Busness (Tami Oliphant) of Burleson and Doug Busness (Helen) of Ely, Iowa; her grandchildren, Nicole, Dean, Cate, Maddie, Abby and Luke; her great grandchild Hazel; and her sisters, Laura Farmer of Dundee, Ethel Manross (Jerry) of Waverly, Cindy Williamson (Dennis) of Marshfield, Iona Keppler (Frank) of Strawberry Point, Rita Zapf (Dan) of Littleport and Kathy Phelps of Independence, Iowa. She is also survived by many extended family members including nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Marion (3855 Katz Dr, Marion, IA 52302). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (915 27th St, Marion, IA 52302). The inurnment will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the East Paint Creek Cemetery (1751 Gronna Dr, Waterville, IA 52170).
