He is survived by: his wife Irene (Crawford); his children, Jeff Hamlett (Molly) of Madison, WI and Jackie Harris (Justin) of Marion; his grandchildren, Keegan Xander (Katherine), Makenna, Aoife, Seamus and Thurston; his siblings, Janet Bockenstedt (Danny), Jerry Hamlett (Larita), Cindy Buechler (Jerae) and David Hamlett (Wendy); and his in-laws, Victor Crawford (Sharon), Mary Scull (Walt), Rob Crawford (Cheri), Shirley Crawford and Diana Lindsay (Leon). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home (4200 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402).
