Lawrence Eugene Whiting Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lawrence Eugene Whiting of Marion, Iowa, who passed away on November 6, 2022 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence F. Whiting and Gertrude Whiting (Cavanaugh); his wife Marie Whiting; and his siblings, Frances Martin, Anita Ament, Dorothy Beyer, Marie March, Rose Werner, Frank Whiting and Robert Whiting.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Whiting (Joyce) of Marion, Sharon Whiting of Marion, Donna Whiting of Marion and Gary Whiting (Kim) of Center Point, Iowa; and his grandchildren, Brent Whiting, Laurie Osborn (Jon), Adam Whiting (Meghan), Drew Whiting (Jenna), Brianna Proietto (Shane) and Jeanie Chenoweth (Joey). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Gene's memory may be made to the family, in care of Donna and/or Sharon Whiting.
