Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Marilyn Phelps (Marion, Iowa), born in Washington, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 95, on August 30, 2023. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Robert Macon and Delores Sherrod; and her parents, John Macon and Cecil Macon. She is survived by: her children, Jim Phelps (Susan) of Toddville and Kathy Phelps Varney (Allen) of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Kelly Hogan of Cedar Rapids and Jason Phelps (Stacie) of Kewanee, Illinois; and her former spouse Dale H. Phelps. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Marion Public Library, Planned Parenthood, Public Radio KCCK, or to the local humane shelter in her name.
