He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcelline Phillips and Loretta Phillips (Anderson); his sister Barbara Opat; and his brother-in-law David Bucheit. He is survived by: his siblings, Peter Phillips (Karen), Patricia Axmear (Fred) and Marcia Radeke (Lance); his brother-in-law Mark Opat; and his close friend Barbara Bright. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa.
