It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Virginia Burke of Marion, Iowa, born in Grinnell, Iowa, who passed away on December 1, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Lawler and Marguerite Lawler (Jones); her husband Bill; her sister Frances Furmento (Abel); and her son-in-law Randy Weekly.
She is survived by: her children, Hank Burke (Jane) of San Clemente, Mick Burke (Beverly) of Walker, Janet Weekly of Walker and Annette Slattery (Jerry) of Winthrop; and her sister Janet Bush (Jerry) of Iowa City. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
