He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph J. Richardson and Barbara E. Richardson (Laughman); and his sister Cindy Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Gayle L. Smith; his children, Kendra Starkey (Steven) of Anamosa, Ashlee Schrock (Vince) of Marion and Taylor Richardson (Mikaela) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his grandchildren, Beckett, Harper Starkey, Miles, Maxwell Schrock and Adalynn Richardson; his siblings, Steve Richardson (Eleanor) of Ely, Iowa and Cheryl Millsap (Mark) of Olathe, Kansas; and his brother-in-law Don Carpenter of The Villages, Florida..
