It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michael Leo Burke (Marion, Iowa), who passed away on January 29, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Joseph Burke and Lena Allgood (Swim); his stepfather John Allgood; his grandparents, Patrick, Sadie Burke, Charles and Eva Swim; and his nephew Danny Johnston.

He is survived by: his friend Bill Woods; his grandson Brock; his nephews, Robbie and Johnny; his wife Sharon Burke (Guyer) of Marion, IA.; his daughter Robin Burke White (Marvin) of Earlville, IA; his grandson Levi McBeth (Mony) of Ankeny, IA; his great grandchildren, Mason, Kerra and Colton McBeth; his siblings, Pat Burke of Oskaloosa, IA., Dwight Allgood (Judy) of Kentucky and Audrey Burke of Eddyville, IA.; his nephews, Gregg Johnston (Jana), Robert Johnston (Sheri), Mike Burke (Liz), John Johnston, David Johnston (Renee) and Jeff Johnston; his niece Christy Burke Smith; and also Robin. He is also survived by many great nephews, nieces and several friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sharon Burke so that she may make a memorial donation to Hospice, for the wonderful care that Mike received, or for Alzheimer's in honor of Mike's mom, Lena, since she fought that disease for many years.
