With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Neil Schmidt of Marion, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 12, 2025 at the age of 51. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Linda Sue Schmidt. He is survived by: his father Dennis John Schmidt; his wife Sarah Schmidt (Ritchie); his daughters, Ivy Faith and Kathryn Elizabeth; his siblings, Eric Schmidt (Jennifer Killion) and Sara Schmidt; his in-laws, Ronald and Barbara Ritchie; and his pets, Charlie, Luna and Percy. He is also survived by two nephews and one niece.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the FaithLife Lutheran Church (8300 C Avenue, Marion, IA 52302). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
