It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Neva Louise Lanning of Marion, Iowa, who passed away on January 18, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Laverne Lanning; her daughter Donna Louise; her sisters, Bernice Koch (Kenneth) and Bernita Butters (Beverly); her siblings-in-law, Juanita Miller (Leonard), Richard Lanning, Betty Hein and Harold Lanning (Gerry); her nieces and nephews, Donald Koch, Irma Jean Koch, Boyd Butters and Bebe Butterfield; and her parents, Edward C. Anderson and Mabel Cynthia Benson Anderson.

She is survived by: her siblings-in-law, Shirley Lanning of Alburnett and Don Hein of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and her caregiver Mary Goad. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials in Neva's memory may be directed to the Alburnett United Methodist Church.

“Aunt Neva was a warm and wonderful woman. Some of my fo dest memories are visiting the farm and spending time with her and Uncle Lavern on the farm. She even taught me how to sew a small quilt one summer. She was so talented and made so many quilts over her lifetime. She will be missed but she is reunited with Lavern. Thank you Mary for taking care if her in her later years.”
