With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Pamela Jane Thys of Marion, Iowa, who passed away on May 8, 2022 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Marvin D. Slaymaker; and her stepmother Barbara Curtin. She is survived by: her mother Jane J. Slaymaker (Chekal); her children, Emily Ohde (AJ) and Greg Thys (Amanda); her grandchildren, Jacob, Ethan, August and Miles; her husband Ray Thys; and her brothers, Mark Slaymaker, Michael Slaymaker (George Bridges) and Paul Slaymaker (Lorie). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation in Pam's memory to: Hall-Perrine Cancer Center at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.
