He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Stanek and Janie Stanek; and his siblings, Richard Stanek, Rita Washburn and Gladys Hilsenbeck.
He is survived by: his brother Wesley Stanek; his wife Janice Shannon; his daughters, Brenda Sheehan (Tom) and Becky McNeal; his grandchildren, Matthew Sheehan, Abby Veenstra (Tyler), Kealy Pfau (Alex), Kyle McNeal, Rylee McNeal and Conner McNeal; and his great grandchildren, Aiden Veenstra, Alyssa Veenstra and Juniper Pfau.
