It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Metz of Marion, Iowa, born in Tama, Iowa, who passed away on February 23, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Lester and Ona Flo Reavis Metz. He is survived by: his wife Janet Steepleton; his children, Julie Krejca of Marion and Ross (Marie) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Heather Osborn (Jess), Cody Metz, Emily Metz and Keegan Krejca; and his great grandchildren, Madison Osborn and Braydon Osborn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials in Richard Metz's name may be directed toward the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha and/or Alzheimer's.
