He was predeceased by: his father Craig Hesson; his grandparents, Keith, Maribelle Hesson, LeVern and Thelma Bonesteel; and his cousin Nathan Hesson.

He is survived by: his mother Rose Hesson of Cedar Rapids; his sister Tammy Hesson; his nephew Shaun Hesson; his aunts and uncles, Gary Bonesteel (Kaye), Kevin Hesson (Deb), Diane Hesson, Karen Helms (Steve) and Dana Lane (Tom); his close friends, Michelle and Emma; and also Lexi.

A memorial fund has been established at Palo Savings Bank under Shaun Hesson.
