He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Sperry and Charlotte Sperry (Powell); his sister Thelma Filling; and his daughter Linda Veal. He is survived by: his wife Betty Sperry of Marion; his son Jeff Sperry (Pat) of Marion; his son-in-law Doug Veal of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Brett Sperry (Laura) of Marion, Justin Sperry (Meghan) of Downers Grove, Ashley Johnson (Tyler) of Marion, Melissa Workman (Phil) of Marion and Amy Sagan (Nick) of Anamosa, Iowa; his great grandchildren, Danica Sperry, Blaine Sperry, Alessandra Sperry, Ashton Sperry, Taelynn Johnson, Dax Johnson, Alexander Workman, Aubrey Workman, Elijah Sagan and Isaac Sagan; and his brothers, Gerald Sperry of Cedar Rapids, John Sperry (Jan) of Hiawatha and Dale Sperry (Jenny) of Marengo, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
