She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Geerdes and Fern Geerdes (Roses); and her husband Kenneth "Ken" Arnote. She is survived by: her siblings, Fritz, Art, Pat, Terry Geerdes and Amber Svela; her children, Ken Arnote (Brenda) of Albion and Shawnee Holtkamp of Bondurant; her grandchildren, Ashley Hillebo (Austin "Tin"), Brayden Arnote, Amber Holtkamp and Avery Holtkamp; her great grandchildren, Koe and Soren Hillebo; and her brother Gale "Hank" Geerdes (Gail) of Florida. She is also survived by extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home (1209 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158).
