He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ralph Clarence Bryngelson and Julia Luene Scheie Bryngelson; his children, Vicky Lou Lindsey, John Berdette Bryngelson, Julie Lynn Wirkus (Harley) and Jay Cameron Bryngelson; his wife Barbara; his siblings-in-law, Lawrence and Louise Sindel; his sisters, Berniece Folk, Evelyn Dittes and Vivian Snell; his brothers-in-law, Virgil Dittes, Duane Snell and Burt Wade; his son-in-law Frank Lindsey; his great grandchild Eliana Grace Kline; his children, Debby Eschweiler (Steve) and Bob Bryngelson; his daughter-in-law Kathy (late John Bryngelson); his grandchildren, Mary Barbara Lindsey, Ryan Klenk, Danielle Douglas (late Murray), Sean Klenk, Blair Bryngelson, Angela Bowden (Jon), Jessalyn Kline (Mark), Katie Fuentez (Jake), Tracy Marmolejoles (Haldon), Shanya Burton (Jasen), Jeannie Wirkus (Jason), Tanner Luethje (Shelby) and Brandon Bryngelson (Savanah); his brother-in-law George Folk; his sister Darlene; and his brother-in-law Jack Feller. He was also cherished by 28 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

Berdette donated land to build Fisher Elementary School.
