He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Geelhart and Mary Ellen Geelhart (Coats); his children, Katie and Shane; and his sisters, Nancy Benjamin and Pat Buban.
He is survived by: his wife Karen; his sons, Chris (Denise) of Bloomington, IL and Ted (Kim) of Conrad, IA; and his grandchildren, Jacob, Ainsley, Ginny, Grace and Sammi.
A rosary will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home - Marshalltown (1209 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158). Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home (1209 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158). A prayer will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Henry’s Catholic Church (1209 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158).
