It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Cheryl Staerk of Marshalltown, Iowa, born in Lakefield, Minnesota, who passed away on January 2, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Darvin William and Julia 'Margaret Schultz; and her spouse Reinhard Staerk. She is survived by: her sons, Richard Staerk of Nelson, WI, Eugene Staerk (Jennifer) of North Branch, MN and Steven Staerk (Candi) of Kellogg, IA; her grandchildren, Jessie Burley, Natasha Leyk, Miranda Staerk, Brandon Staerk, Derrick Staerk, Ashlee Staerk and Hunter Staerk; and her brother Richard 'Dick Schultz of Sioux Falls, SD.. She is also survived by two great- grandchildren.
Per the wishes of Cheryl and her family, her body has been donated for medical research to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program.
