He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Baedke and Ethel Baedke (Muench). He is survived by: his sons, Ted Baedke of Marshalltown and Terry Baedke (Linda) of Fort Dodge; his grandchildren, Jacob Hiett, Amy Womeldorff (Brett), Ryan Baedke (Francie), Adam Baedke (Samantha), Lucas Baedke (Charissa), Shay Hunter (Baedke), Joshua Barker (Kylie), Joseph Baedke (LaReen), Matthew Baedke (Shireen), Noah, Theo Barker, Elizabeth Baedke, Jasper, Janessa Williams and Mazikeen Baedke; his sister-in-law Donna Musser; his daughter-in-law Becky Baedke; his daughter Peggy Jo Hiett; his sister Beverly Zunkel (LaVern); and also, Tom Hiett (Candy) of Monmouth, Illinois., Isaac Dorman, Anthony Batillo, Alyssa Baedke, Oliver Palmer, Alexis Baedke, Jemma Baedke, Tatum, Levi Bramstedt, Joe, Josephine Musser (Hemping), Neta Williams, John Musser (Elizabeth) and Edgar Musser.
Darwin's family thanks you for directing memorials to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to preserve Darwin's love of fishing, hunting and camping!A tree has been planted in Marshalltown's Riverview Park campground area with a plaque to follow In Memory of Darwin & Mary Jane Baedke, and "Baedke Construction".
