He was predeceased by: his parents, L. S. Proffitt and Lucille Proffitt (Mallatt); and his siblings, James "Jim" Proffitt, Robert "Bob" Proffitt, Shirley Scovill, Cora Ann Frahm, Vianna Penezich and Maxine Cooley.
He is survived by: his wife Ivadeen Proffitt; his daughters, Denise Badgley (Bruce), Hope Douglas and Sharon Finch (Arnie); his grandchildren, Kristin Jennings (Shane), Courtney Schamerhorn (Joey), Adam Badgley (Becca), Haley Finch, Zariah Proffitt and Zohntay Proffitt; his great grandchildren, Marli, Lawson, Coen, Alora Badgley, Jaxon, Jace Jennings and Parker Schamerhorn; and his siblings, Dale Proffitt (Marianne) and Hazel Rhoades.
