It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dolores Marie Asmussen of Marshalltown, Iowa, born in Hartwick, Iowa, who passed away on August 14, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Martens and Leona Martens (McIlrath); her husband Frank Asmussen; her son Jim Asmussen; and her brother Bernard Martens.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Asmussen of Urbandale, Janie Romano (Joseph) of Ames, Janine Grombacher (Alan) of Saskatchewan, Jody Asmussen of Chelsea, Joy Wolter (Joel) of Denver, IA and Jon Asmussen (Lisa) of Dysart; and her brother Don Martens (Dorothy) of Tama. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the South Tama Elementary School.
