He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roger Edel and Rita Edel (Quinn); his former wife Georgette Cold; his son Chris Edel (Meri) of Marshalltown; his grandchildren, Alex Edel (Jamie) of Tiffin and Leah Edel of Ottumwa; his siblings, Anthony Edel (Carol), Thomas Edel (Jeanine), Lawrence Edel (Sveta), Mary Ellen Skorczeski (Tom), David Edel (Kathy) and Carol Geil; and his fiancé Jeremy Park.
