He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Herman Plahn and Marie Plahn (Kern); his wife Jan; his children, Linda George (Rick) of Webster City, Cheryl LaVille (Tom) of Marshalltown and Glenn Plahn (Erin) of Sugarland, TX; his grandsons, Timothy George of Morrisville, NC, Zach Plahn of Grand Rapids, MI and Spencer Plahn of Sugarland, TX; and his stepgrandchildren, Joa LaVille (Terry Mercer) of Marshalltown, Jenni Marino of Marshalltown, Josh LaVille of Portland, OR and John LaVille of Denver, CO.
The family encourages memorials to be directed to the Wounded Warriors Project or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
