She was predeceased by: her brother Vicente Acevedo. She is survived by: her husband David; her children, Enrique Gomez Acevedo (Ana), Mari Gomez Garza (Roberto), Angelica Chavez (Delfino), David Gomez (Gloria), Julie Deeter (Landon), Jose E. Gomez Acevedo (Lucero) and Patricia Gomez Acevedo (Jorge); her grandchildren, Luis, Beatrice, Fabiola, Fabian, Karina, Jackie, Areli, Gilberto, Roberto, Eduardo, Jaquelin, Kade, Jesus, Xavier, Ximena, Joel, Lidia, Joseline, Brianna, Anthony, Angel, Elijah, Giahna, Stephen, Jaylah, Juliahn, Christopher, Isabella and Thiago; and her great grandchildren, Neveah, Saul and Delilah. She is also survived by 11 siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home - Marshalltown (1209 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158). A rosary was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi - St. Henry's Church (221 W Olive St, Marshalltown, IA 50158). A graveside service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Riverside Cemetery (611 N Center St, Marshalltown, IA 50158).

Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation.
