She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sr. Bottema and Florence Bottema (Lubbert); her husband Darrell Ankrum; her son Jeffery Ankrum; and her siblings, Jake Bottema, Etta Moats, Mildred Neuenford and John Bottema Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Vicki Neel, Darrell Ankrum (Donella) and Diane Deters; her grandchildren, Darcie Oelberg (Cory), Mindy Handsaker (Jacob), Carri Bridges, Kim Neel, Christopher Bracy (Becky) and Jennifer Bracy; her great grandchildren, Aaron Gould, Isaac Neel, Callan Oelberg, Landon Oelberg, Ethan Oelberg, Solomon, Elizabeth, Noa Neel, Elle Jorgensen-Fulton, Myles Handsaker, Elle Handsaker, Will Handsaker, Kimber Handsaker, Madison Bracy and Dylan Bracy; and her siblings, Lawrence Bottema, Robert Bottema, Dorothy Davison, Varina Eason and Delores Buzzell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home (1209 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
