She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Lapour and Laura Lapour. She is survived by: her sister-in-law Helen Lapour; her nephews, Craig Lapour (Laura), Cary Lapour and Donald Lapour; her husband Stanley Elsberry; her brothers, Melvin Lapour and Donald Lapour; and her nephews, Mike Lapour and Denny Lapour.
Irene was a dedicated volunteer at the Mid Iowa Antique Power Association (MIAPA) in Marshalltown where she generously donated her time and resources to renovate the old Marshalltown Firetruck.
