It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ismelda Sanchez of Marshalltown, Iowa, who passed away on February 9, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alberto Sanchez and Jovita Castillo; her husband Rafael Yepez Delgado; her siblings, Esperanza, Apolinar, Michaela, Lorenzo, Marina, Carolina and Victoria Sanchez Castillo; and her nieces, Raquel, Araceli Luna Sanchez and Francisca Balderas Sanchez.
She is survived by: her children, Edgar Enrique Yepez (Agueda Lopez), Yadira Yepez (Daniel Corona) and Ivan Rafael Yepez; her grandchildren, Daniel Rafael Corona Yepez, Dayra Yinetzi Corona Yepez and Joshua Hank Yepez; and her siblings, Casimira of Mexico and Trinidad Sanchez Castillo of Mexico.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation.
