He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lisle and Mildred Eva DeSmidt (Johnson); his sister Sandy Chase; and his brother-in-law Garry Chase. He is survived by: his siblings, Robert DeSmidt (Toby) of Sioux City and Pamela Anderson (Greg) of Cambridge, Iowa.. He is also survived by five nieces and three nephews.
