She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmo Lutes and Mildred Lutes (Hallstead); her husband Charles Hughes; and her daughter Lori Hughes. She is survived by: her children, Karen Buffington (Rod) of Marshalltown, Robert Daniels (Jerri) of Council Bluffs, John Daniels of Louisiana, Rick Hughes of Marshalltown and Chere Hutson of Conrad, IA; and her brother Gib Lutes of Marshalltown. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.
