With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John L. Tompkins Jr. (Marshalltown, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 4, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, John "Travis" Tompkins III, Natasha Gaydos and Lachelle Tompkins; his grandchildren, Jayden, Jazzlynn, Jonavyn, Dalyn, Nylah, Braxton, Marius, Ezequiel and Kane; his siblings, Pam Shannon (Floyd), Nancy Whittlesey, Linda Weishaubt, Hoss Tompkins (Jill), Rochelle Blackford and Roxanne Catherwood (Larry); and his parents, Jack and Vivian. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation.
