He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Bloomquist and Mable Bloomquist (Olson); and his siblings, Charles, Harold, Milford, JoAnn Grimm and Phyllis Reed.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Engberg; his sons, Todd (Erin) of New York City and Jeffrey (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Logan and Layne of Chicago; and his brother Dennis (Sharon). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was a charter member of Crosswinds Toastmasters, a Trustee of the Ann Keyser Trust, chair of both the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center (MMSC) and MMSC Foundation Boards and served on the UnityPoint Health Marshalltown Foundation Board.
