We bid farewell to Marilyn K. Hicks of Marshalltown, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 20, 2025 at the age of 88. Marilyn touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the vast expanse of eternity, Marilyn shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Marilyn farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Vileta and Marie Vileta (Caloud); her husband Dale; her son Matthew Fricke; and her brother Merrill Vileta (Terry).
She is survived by: her sons, Michael Fricke (Laura) of Marshalltown, Morris Fricke (Cindy) of Gilman, Mitchell Fricke (Deedee) of Lake Worth, FL and David Hicks (Alyson) of Marshalltown. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home (1209 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
