He is survived by: his former spouse Mieko Ames; his wife Gloria Owings of Marshalltown; his children, Thomas Owings (Terri) of Wichita and Marsha Kirschman (Devin) of Sioux City; his grandchildren, Christian Owings, Savannah Owings, Essence Owings, Jade Owings, Tawny Askins, Daine Thompson (Kaitlin), Cedric Kirschman and Christopher Kirschman; and his great grandchildren, Eden, Givonni, Grome, Tyshawn, Messiah and Cooper. He is also survived by 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
