We are sad to announce that, on June 12, 2025, at the age of 66, Ricky Lee Smith of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Smith and Ilean Smith (Johnson); his brother Larry Smith; his brother-in-law Mike Fisher; and his mother-in-law Leona Kauffman.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy Kauffman; his children, Nichole Bane (Jaron) of Columbus, Jennifer Smith of Marshalltown and Nicholas Smith of Marshalltown; his grandchildren, Kanin Mann (Malena Gaona), Khaidencey Garrett, Ryder Garrett and Madix Bane; his siblings, Mary Smith of Kansas, Sandy Fisher of Hiawatha and Luann George (Wayne) of Marshalltown; his father-in-law Ronald Kauffman of Marshalltown; his uncle Londell Johnson (Ellen) of Marshalltown; and his pets, Bee and Emma. He is also survived by his sister-in-law's, brother-in-law's, nieces, nephews and cousins.
