He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Irene Johnson Springer and Bill Springer; his son Stephen; his siblings-in-law, Lt. Leo H. Kupka, Evelyn Navara, Joan Harding and Bob Harding; and his parents-in-law, Leo and Bessie Kupka.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Amy Kupka of Tama; and his children, Mark (Colleen Springer) and Mary (Dennis Hass). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
