He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry Schmidt and Janice Schmidt (Shore); his aunt Joan Smith; his uncle Dean Shore (Letitia); his grandparents, John, Beulah Schmidt, Leon and Maude Shore; his parents-in-law, Russell and Mary Alice Hulsizer; and his close friend Doug Dewey.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Hulsizer; his son Jason Kutzner (Brianna Rasmussen); his brothers, Gary Schmidt, Ed Schmidt (Deanna), Brian Schmidt (Julie) and Adam Schmidt (Connie); his siblings' children, Yara, Joseph, River, Jamie, Marcus (Shelby) and Sydney Schmidt (Chase Gratopp); and his close friend Kathy Stotts (Tom).
