She was predeceased by: her parents, John W. Brown and Esther C. Brown (Grisemore). She is survived by: her significant other Richard Ritter; her sons, Richard "Rick" Lavern Ritter, Jr. of LeGrand and Terry Joe Ritter of Marshalltown, Iowa; her grandchildren, Richard Ritter III of Marshalltown, Felicia Ritter of Marshalltown and Melesia Ritter of Marshalltown; her great grandchildren, Richard, Eric, Emma, Alec, Wyatt, William, Reagan, Xania and Yasman; her sons, David Eugene and Rodney Lavern; and her siblings, John "Junior" Brown, Willa Mae Faris and Gerald Eugene Brown. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
