He was predeceased by: his wife Beatrice Weaver; his son-in-law Terry Oller; his grandson Jarrod Anderson; and his parents, Floyd Payne and Stella Payne (Oles).
He is survived by: his children, Kelly Messenger (David), Robin Anderson (Terry), Tracy Oller, Janae Jelsma (Tim) and Alyson Skahill (Mark); his grandchildren, Emily Maiers (Jon), Brett Messenger, Derek Messenger, Aaryn Messenger, Tyler Anderson (Sarah), Jordan Anderson (Jessa), Kara Swanson (Noah), Meredith Stiles (Brett), Whitney Neville (Josh), Ryne Oller (Liddy), Ryan Jelsma (Gwen), Andrea Gaumer (Andrew), Emma Klocke (Mitch), Emma Gosnell and Jackson Skahill; and his sister Lola Peterson.
