He was predeceased by: his parents, William Russell Tomlinson and Mildred Olive Tomlinson (Wagoner); his former wife Elva Sue Tomlinson; and his sister Karen Johnson of Denver, CO.. He is survived by: his wife Dorthy Tomlinson; his children, Bill Tomlinson (Kristi) of Ankeny, IA, Ron Tomlinson (Elizabeth) of Cedartown, GA and Deann Tomlinson (Rich Borgos) of Marshalltown, IA; his grandchildren, Lindsey Good (Adam) of Ames, IA, Katie Jacobs (Jonathan) of Armonk, NY, Mark Tomlinson (Nina) of Kent, WA, Renae Hill (Andrew) of Missoula, MT and Bella Borgos of Marshalltown, IA; and his sisters, Linda Casey (Robert) of Denver, CO and Connie Goodman (Richard) of State Center, IA.. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home (1209 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
