With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Martin of Martensdale, Iowa, who passed away on October 13, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard Martin to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Martin and Frances Martin (Murry); his brothers, Phillip and David; and his son-in-law Rex Sheehan.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald Martin (Brenda Brown) of Winterset, Peggy Sheehan (Allan Goldberg) of Des Moines and Amy Anderson (Mark) of Winterset; his grandchildren, Christopher Sheehan (Emily) of Ankeny, Jonathan Sheehan of Des Moines, Kaitlin Cupp (Grant) of Earlham and Cody Anderson of Winterset; his great grandchildren, Lucy, Nora, Jack Sheehan and Haylie Cupp; and his former wife Karen Taylor.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home - Winterset Chapel (1823 N John Wayne Dr, Winterset, IA 50273). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the St. Charles Cemetery.
